Healthcare

Many essential healthcare services are available locally.

The Lincoln County Hospital District consists of two clinics, one in Alamo and the other in Caliente, and the Grover C. Dils Medical Center in Caliente. The district provides 24/7 emergency services, as well as laboratory, dietary, radiology, respiratory, physical therapy, general family-practice care, and long-term care. Lincoln County is also home to local dentistry and optometry practices and a locally-owned pharmacy fills prescriptions at its Alamo and Caliente locations.

Mental health services are available locally through Rural Clinics in Panaca.

A community health nurse is also available locally in Panaca, and the Lincoln County Board of Health oversees public health matters under the direction of the county health nurse. Additionally, rural-based initiatives, including telehealth, continue to expand healthcare services in Lincoln County.
