Lincoln County has a long history of agricultural production.

Fertile, green fields sit in stunning contrast to the surrounding high-desert climate. The Nevada Department of Agriculture reported Lincoln County’s food & agriculture sector contributed $66 million to the county’s economy in 2015, with total exports totalling nearly $43 million. Lincoln County is home to 185 farms and ranches and around 270 agricultural jobs. Top producing industries include beef cattle ranching/farming; hay farming; and greenhouse, nursery & floriculture. Nearly 98 percent of the land in Lincoln County is publicly held and ranchers graze cattle on public land through Bureau of Land Management allotments.
